One plan, two prices
Most SaaS pricing pages have a billing toggle. The same plan is offered at one price per month when billed monthly, and at a lower per-month equivalent when a full year is paid in advance. We track the two billing periods as separate objects, because they are separate offers with separate terms: the annual price is a commitment for twelve months, and the refund rules for the unused part differ between providers.
For each plan and billing period, the measured value is the price per month in USD. For annual billing the yearly total is divided by twelve; where the page already shows a per-month equivalent for annual billing, that figure is used as published and is not divided again. Prices in EUR or CHF are converted with the ECB daily reference rate of the measurement date; the original amount and currency stay in the record, so a change caused only by the exchange rate can be told apart from a price change.
How the saving is calculated
The saving in the table is 1 − (annual price per month ÷ monthly price per month), from two prices of the same plan on the same date. Many pages advertise "save 20%" or "two months free"; the table shows what the two published prices imply. 5 of the 24 pairs come out at about 16.7%, which is what "two months free" means (10 paid months for 12).

What the comparison does not include
The per-month price is the list price for one unit as defined on the page, usually one seat. Additional seats, usage overages, add-ons and conditional promotions change the actual invoice and are not included; tax is shown as each page states it. A promotional first-year price is tracked as its own object with "first-year promo" in its name and is not paired with the regular monthly price. 80 plans in the section are tracked with only one billing period, either because the page offers only one or because the other is not tied unambiguously to the plan on the page.
Annual billing moves risk to the customer: the saving is paid for with twelve months of commitment. Whether a price is later raised at the next annual renewal is visible in the plan's history once more than one year of data exists. For price movement over time, see the guide to SaaS price changes.
