Privacy
Caliper Press is published by InbiTech OÜ. This page sets out what the site and its free tools receive when you use them, where that information goes and what is kept.
Reading the site
Pages and data files are static. The site sets no cookies and has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts; its scripts, styles, fonts and images load from this domain only. There are no accounts, sign-ups or mailing lists.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, so every request passes through Cloudflare's network, which receives your IP address and the usual browser headers to deliver the page. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers that processing.
Links to provider pages are ordinary links; once you follow one, the provider's own policy applies.
Using the free tools
The tools send what you enter to small functions on this site. The functions do not save the domains or IP addresses you check and do not write them to logs, and every answer is sent with caching turned off. To limit how many checks one address can run in a minute, the tool keeps a counter per address in working memory; the counter is not written to storage.
- What is my IP: the page shows your address as it reaches the site and what Cloudflare attaches to the request: network, country, region, city and time zone. If your browser allows WebRTC, the page asks Cloudflare's STUN server (stun.cloudflare.com) which addresses it sees and sends up to four of them to the site for the same network lookup.
- Hosting checker, SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker, robots.txt check for AI crawlers: the domain you enter is looked up in public DNS, and the site requests one file from it: the home page headers, the MTA-STS policy file or robots.txt. These requests are sent by the site itself, with a user agent that names Caliper Press, so the checked site does not see your address.
- A finished robots.txt check can add one anonymous count to our statistics: the result, the page of ours it came from, the two-letter country code Cloudflare assigns and whether the request came from a bot. The domain and your address are not part of it.
DNS questions go to Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver (cloudflare-dns.com), and to Google Public DNS (dns.google) when Cloudflare does not answer in time. Network owners come from Team Cymru's IP-to-ASN service through the same resolvers. These services receive the name or address being looked up; for What is my IP, that address is yours.
